As Tesla's global export center, the Shanghai Gigafactory exported its one millionth complete vehicle in September and reached a milestone of three millionth vehicle being produced in October. According to Tesla's Q3 2024 financial report, the sales cost of bicycles at the Shanghai Gigafactory continues to optimize and has dropped to the lowest level in history.
According to Tesla, China is currently one of the lowest priced markets in the world for Tesla, with a price 185000 yuan lower than other markets. The Model Y and Model 3 produced at the Shanghai Gigafactory are not only supplied to the domestic market, but also exported to multiple markets such as Asia Pacific and Europe.
