On November 5th, the 7th China International Import Expo (referred to as "CIIE") opened. This year's CIIE will showcase over 400 representative new products, technologies, and services, including the "first exhibition" and "first show" brought by international medical giants.
The medical equipment and healthcare exhibition area has always been one of the hot exhibition areas at the CIIE. At the 7th Expo, MSD displayed the latest product pipeline, and concentrated on the nearly 30 approved drugs and vaccines in China, covering tumor, diabetes, anti infection, rare diseases, anesthesia and other fields. MSD will also present a number of achievements of cooperation with local enterprises and institutions on the booth, including cooperation with Tongrun Biology, Kelenbotai, Peking University and Zhifei Biology. While bringing innovative treatment solutions to China, MSD will also help local innovative achievements go global and improve the accessibility of medical services.
In terms of animal health, Merck will showcase products and technological solutions covering five major businesses: pets, poultry, pigs, ruminants, and aquatic products. This is the "debut" of aquatic solutions after Merck completed the acquisition of Lilan Animal Health's aquatic business in July this year.

It is reported that Merck is currently conducting clinical research on multiple new drugs and indications across therapeutic fields in China, and is expected to introduce more than 40 new products and indications to China in the next five years.
