Foxconn's parent company, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., revealed on Tuesday (October 8th) that the company is building the world's largest Nvidia GB200 manufacturing plant in Mexico to help alleviate the huge demand for Nvidia's Blackwell platform from the outside world.
Foxconn is the world's largest electronics contract manufacturer and also Apple's largest iPhone assembler. The company also produces servers, which means it benefits from the artificial intelligence boom.
At Foxconn's annual Technology Day on Tuesday, Benjamin Ting, Senior Vice President of the Cloud Enterprise Solutions Business Group, stated that the collaboration between Foxconn and Nvidia is very important. Ting pointed out, "We are building the world's largest GB200 production facility
Ting also added that everyone wants to use Nvidia's Blackwell platform, and the demand is very huge.
In addition, during the Technology Day event, Foxconn Chairman Liu Yangwei pointed out that artificial intelligence has great commercial value for enterprises and stated that Foxconn's manufacturing capabilities are being redefined by artificial intelligence.
Liu Yangwei emphasized that Foxconn's supply chain is ready, including our vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities, as well as advanced cooling and heat dissipation technologies required to support GB 200 server infrastructure.
It is worth mentioning that Huang Renxun, the CEO of Nvidia, attended Foxconn's Technology Day event last year, but he did not attend this year.
