Meta announced on September 24th that it will not immediately join the EU Artificial Intelligence Convention before the new law comes into effect. A spokesperson for Meta Platforms stated that Meta will not immediately join the Artificial Intelligence Convention, which is a temporary measure before the full implementation of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. EU lawmakers agreed to the Convention on Artificial Intelligence in May, which is the first rule to regulate the development and deployment of artificial intelligence.
