On September 10th, Jiyue Automobile, jointly developed by Baidu and Geely Holding Group, officially launched its second product, 07. The discounted price for purchasing a new car ranges from 199900 to 289900 yuan, making it the industry's first intelligent driving sedan positioned as an AI car.
It is worth mentioning that Robin Lee, the chairman and CEO of Baidu, Zeng Yuqun, the chairman and CEO of Ningde Times, and Li Bin, the founder of Weilai, appeared at the event to support Jiyue Auto. Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding Group, also released a congratulatory video to support the launch of the new car.
Jiayue CEO Xia Yiping revealed that Jiayue 07 is the world's first sedan with an investment of over 100 billion yuan, and also the king of range and cost-effectiveness.
In his view, 2025 is the year of elimination for non advanced intelligent driving vehicles, and car products without intelligent driving capabilities will completely lose competitiveness.
It is reported that the Jiyue 07 is the first to ride Baidu's cutting-edge ASD Apollo advanced intelligent driving, adopting a "pure visual+end-to-end big model" intelligent driving solution. The Jiyue ASD has functions such as intelligent speed limit, automatic start stop at traffic lights, autonomous detours, continuous lane changes, yielding to pedestrians, and unprotected left turns, which can easily cope with various complex scenarios such as high-speed highways and urban travel.
In addition, this car also features the industry's first native AI large model cockpit, which combines the advantages of both end-to-end and cloud based large models. The newly upgraded SIMO 2.0 speech recognition speed is as fast as 500ms, and it can smoothly interact in weak or no network environments, supporting almost all functions of the vehicle.
In terms of range, the Jiyue 07 has launched three configuration models, among which the Jiyue 07 Standard Edition CLTC has a range of 660km, the Jiyue 07 Long Range Edition CLTC has a maximum range of 880km, and the Jiyue 07 Performance Edition CLTC has a range of 770km.
It is reported that the Jiyue 07 is equipped with a high-performance three electric system with a billion dollar investment, and is equipped with CATL's most advanced Kirin battery. At the same time, the new car also adopts 800V silicon carbide technology, with an electric drive comprehensive efficiency of up to 96.5%, a maximum power of 530kW, and the ability to recharge 600km in 10 minutes.
Xia Yiping introduced that the high-performance Kirin battery carried by the Jiyue 07 adopts large-area water cooling and aviation grade insulation pad combined with NP technology, which can achieve thermal runaway without diffusion or fire.
At the event, Zeng Yuqun, as the owner of the new car 001, particularly praised the performance of the Jiyue 07. He stated that Baidu is responsible for intelligence, while CATL is responsible for electrification. We are both empowering each other with our respective professional abilities to create better automotive robots.
Public data shows that in August of this year, the sales volume of a single model of Jiyue reached 2117 units, with the delivery volume doubling month on month for two consecutive months.
