On November 4th, Youdao announced that its subsidiary, Ziyue Big Model, had passed the "Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services" jointly announced by seven national ministries and commissions. This is the first batch of educational big models to be registered, which means that the Confucius Big Model and its application products can be open to the public.
The Confucius' Great Model is the first national education model independently developed by Youdao. As a vertical language model, 'Confucius' has professional pre trained corpus that can provide users with a conversational language model based on their needs in learning scenarios, helping them answer questions and clarify their doubts. Based on this model, Youdao has designed customized models for different learning scenarios to achieve a high degree of fit between the model and the scene.
In July of this year, Youdao held a press conference to officially announce the Ziyue Big Model and stated that it will gradually launch six native applications equipped with the Ziyue Big Model - "Virtual Human Speaking Coach Hi Echo", "LLM Translation", "AI Writing Guidance", "Grammar Refined Lecture", "AIBox", and document Q&A& Quot;.
Among them, the virtual human speaking coach Hi Echo app and mini program were officially launched in early October as a standalone app and WeChat mini program. Currently, the product has fully opened its registration experience to all users.
NetEase Youdao emphasizes that the Confucius Education Model is aimed at learners of various ages, and the security and compliance of content are particularly crucial. Therefore, both the filing of management measures and the filing of algorithms are indispensable.
Not long ago, the National Internet Information Office announced the second batch of registration information for deep synthesis service algorithms in China, and multiple applications and products such as the Ziyue Big Model and NetEase Youdao Dictionary, Youdao Virtual Human Speaking Coach Hi Echo, Youdao Translation, and Youdao Intelligent Hardware were included in the "Registration List for Deep Synthesis Service Algorithms in China" (August 2023).
NetEase Youdao stated that with the approval of the "Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services", the Ziyue Big Model will continuously absorb user feedback and quickly iterate and upgrade, and will always adhere to the concept of "scenario first", installed in more diverse intelligent hardware products and APP products, to continuously provide learners with an efficient learning experience. It is revealed that Youdao will release a series of products and applications again.
