On August 11th, Shanghai Disney Resort announced that Shanghai Disneyland will launch a new Spider Man themed attraction. The new attraction will be themed around the beloved Marvel superhero Spider Man, presenting a thrilling roller coaster experience. This will also become the first large-scale attraction within Shanghai Disneyland to tell Marvel stories.
At the beginning of this year, Shanghai Disney Resort announced the start of preparations for the construction of a new attraction within Shanghai Disneyland, which will be adjacent to the park's newly opened "Zootopia" theme park.
On the occasion of the 2024 Disney World Fan Conference D23 Expo, Josh DAmaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences at The Walt Disney Company, unveiled the theme of this new attraction in his presentation "Horizons - D23 Disney Experiences Showcase" and presented two renderings of the attraction for the first time. This brand new roller coaster project will invite visitors to follow Spider Man on a high-speed adventure, helping him overcome his difficulties and experience the excitement and excitement unique to Marvel movies.
The current expansion project of Shanghai Disneyland Resort also includes a third Disney themed hotel adjacent to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.
