A source familiar with the matter revealed that NBC has arranged multiple possible debate dates for the two presidential candidates. Trump's campaign team has agreed to hold the debate on September 25th, but Harris' campaign team has not yet agreed on this date.
Trump emphasized on Thursday, "I think holding a debate is very important." He also added that CBS News will host a vice presidential debate for his running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance and Harris' deputy, Minnesota Governor Waltz.
In recent times, Harris has been unstoppable in various polls, gradually showing a leading trend from being closely pursued to now.
The Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Thursday showed that Harris' lead over Trump is currently expanding, with her leading 42% to 37%. Compared to the same poll on July 22-23, she is only 37% ahead of Trump by 3 percentage points.
