On July 31st, Delta Air Lines hired "Wall Street's ace lawyer" David Boies to demand compensation from CrowdStrike and Microsoft for their losses. On July 19th, a software update from CrowdStrike caused a historic interruption in Microsoft systems, resulting in many industries' systems going offline. Airlines have been hit particularly hard, with the US Department of Transportation stating last week that it is investigating Delta Air Lines, which has suffered widespread flight disruptions and service failures.
