Shanghai Securities News (reporter Yu Liyan) Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla, mentioned on the Tesla financial report conference call held on July 24 that he would apply for regulatory approval in Europe and China to implement the Tesla FSD (Full auto drive system) under supervision, which is expected to be approved by the end of 2024.
On April 28, 2024, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the National Computer Network Emergency Technology Processing Coordination Center issued a notice on the testing of four safety requirements for automotive data processing (first batch), which mentioned that all models produced by Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory meet compliance requirements and are the only foreign-funded enterprise that meets compliance requirements. In June 2024, Shanghai Lingang New Area began to promote the pilot implementation of Tesla FSD, involving 10 Tesla vehicles to conduct road tests in Shanghai.
