On July 3rd, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), General Motors will recall a total of 8622 2024 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles. The reason for the recall is that during the assembly process, the locking ring that secures the fuel pump to the fuel tank assembly may not be fully locked, which may result in fuel leakage during collisions. Dealers will inspect and fully lock the fuel tank locking ring free of charge as needed.
