On June 26th, London time, Blackstone Real Estate announced that a fund managed by Blackstone has completed its acquisition of Village Hotels. Village Hotels is a hotel owner, operator, and developer that owns and operates 33 geographically advantageous assets in cities and suburbs across major regions in the UK. It is understood that Blackstone Group has long been optimistic about the UK leisure industry. In 2021, Blackstone Group acquired Bourne Leisure, a British resort company that owns Haven Holiday Parks, the largest RV operator in the UK, and Warner Hotels, the only adult hotel chain in the UK.
