On June 3rd, JD data showed that the global sales of direct mail orders on June 18th this year saw a significant increase, with a year-on-year increase of over 200% in the number of orders within 4 hours of the opening ceremony.
As of 12:00 pm on May 31st, consumer enthusiasm for placing orders has been high, and the vast majority of orders have entered automated production lines and been shipped out. Consumers in many parts of China, including Changji, Xinjiang, received their first order within ten minutes after the opening of JD 618, and consumers in hundreds of cities will receive them one after another on the morning of June 1st.
During the 618 shopping festival on JD.com, JD Logistics utilized over 1600 warehouses in operation to reach hundreds of 211 cities within a limited time frame, achieving a delivery time of up to half a day. In Naqu, Xizang, known as the city with the highest altitude in China, the online shopping speed during the 618 period will be increased from about the past week to the next day of direct delivery in the Lhasa Logistics Park of JD Logistics.
In the Hong Kong and Macau regions, before 618, JD Logistics established its first supply chain base in Hong Kong. Local consumers can receive orders on JD's online shopping platform as early as the next morning, accounting for 80% the next day, refreshing the speed of online shopping in Hong Kong. Data shows that within 4 hours of the successful start of 618, JD Logistics orders in Hong Kong and Macau increased by about 100% year-on-year.
