On May 31, according to the official WeChat official account of Yihang Intelligent, Yihang Intelligent announced that it had signed a memorandum of cooperation with Taiyuan Xishan Ecological Culture and Tourism Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xishan Culture and Tourism") and ordered 50 EH216-S unmanned electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL).
It is understood that Xishan Cultural Tourism has paid a total contract price of 113 million yuan (approximately 15.6 million US dollars) to Yihang Intelligent. At the same time, Xishan Cultural Tourism has also signed an intention to purchase an additional 450 EH216-S aircraft with Yihang Intelligence in the next two years, which will be used in low altitude scenarios such as tourism and manned transportation, to jointly promote the application and operation of unmanned eVTOL in North China.
According to the memorandum of cooperation, Yihang Intelligence and Xishan Cultural Tourism will cooperate to build the Taiyuan Low Altitude Economic Industrial Park, and set up Yihang Intelligence North China Command and Dispatch Center, Marketing Exhibition Center, Operation Center, After sales Service Center, Science and Technology Research Institute, etc. in the park. Both sides will work together to build the largest eVTOL urban air traffic operation base in North China.
At the same time, Yihang Intelligence and Xishan Cultural Tourism Plan have initially established EH216-S low altitude sightseeing and tourism demonstration centers in Xishan Scenic Area and Fenhe Scenic Area in Taiyuan City, gradually expanding the application of unmanned eVTOL to Shanxi Province and even North China, empowering the growth of low altitude industries in the region.
