Pinduoduo cross-border e-commerce platform Temu has sued fast fashion competitor Shein in the United States, claiming that its anti competitive behavior against Temu is "escalating.". Both parties have previously withdrawn their lawsuit against the other party. A 100 page indictment submitted by Temu on December 13th stated that "Temu found that Shein's anti competitive behavior not only persists, but is also intensifying. Shein's continued and increasingly aggressive use of anti competitive, coercive, and threatening behavior makes it necessary to file a lawsuit." Shein's representative did not respond to a request for comment. A representative from Temu stated that this latest measure is due to Shein's escalating anti competitive behavior. "Their behavior is too exaggerated; we have no choice but to sue them." (Singapore Business Times)
