Ford Motor Corporation has resumed construction of its Michigan battery factory but plans to reduce its scale. On November 21 local time, Ford Motor Corporation announced that it has resumed construction of its Michigan battery factory, but the scale has decreased compared to the original plan, citing the expected cooling of demand for electric vehicles in the future. The number of batteries planned to be produced by the factory is reduced by about 40% compared to the original plan. The company currently expects to hire approximately 1700 workers at the factory, less than the original plan of approximately 2500. Ford suspended the construction of the battery factory in Marshall, Michigan in September this year, stating that it was reassessing its competitiveness in operating the factory.
