On November 29th local time, Vietnam's parliament voted to increase the effective tax rate on multinational companies such as Samsung and Intel, which will significantly increase their tax rates to 15% next year. This move will comply with a "global tax reform" initiative passed at the OECD meeting to combat corporate tax evasion.
