Multiple data research results show that the development potential of Beijing's new energy vehicle market is enormous. From the perspective of sales data and brand influence, Tesla Motors' performance is particularly impressive.
This year is Tesla's tenth year entering the Chinese market. Since Tesla opened its first experience store in Chinese Mainland in 2013 in Beijing, it has owned about 1.5 million car owners and opened more than 425 direct stores in Chinese Mainland.
Meanwhile, based on sales data, Tesla China delivered a total of 770000 vehicles in the first 10 months of this year, surpassing the entire year of last year. The Model Y has consistently ranked first in passenger car retail sales so far this year. With the full launch of the new version of Model 3, Tesla is expected to set a new record for annual delivery by domestic luxury car companies.
Bestselling car models in short supply, with starting prices facing further increases
On November 21st, Tesla's official website in China announced an increase in the price of the Model Y Long Range All Wheel Drive version by 2000 yuan, with an adjusted starting price of 304400 yuan. This is the fourth price increase experienced by the Model 3/Y series since the end of October, with an overall increase of RMB 15-14000.
The frequent renewal of products has become the key to continuously moving consumers. Data shows that since the fourth quarter of this year, the delivery of new versions of Tesla Model 3 and Model Y has continued to increase. In the third week of November, Tesla China's weekly delivery volume reached 16000 units, with Model Y firmly positioned as the best-selling passenger car. The Model S series model is also known as the "fastest mass production model on the surface" with the latest "New North Kit" launched in China. Overall, 'high cost-effectiveness' has become a key keyword in Tesla car buyers' purchasing decisions.
The continuous shortage of supply has brought considerable difficulty to the delivery of new cars. According to Tesla China's official website, the current pick-up cycle for Model Y has been extended to 2-8 weeks, while the pick-up cycle for the updated Model 3 is 2-9 weeks. Analysts believe that Tesla's Shanghai super factory continues to supply multiple markets in Asia Pacific and Europe, and has already locked in the top annual sales figures in multiple markets in advance. It is not ruled out that the delivery cycle may continue to be extended.
The service system is improving day by day, and the benefits of car purchases at the end of the year are obvious
As of now, Tesla has opened 12 experience stores, 12 service centers, and 2 self operated sheet metal spray centers in Beijing. More than 115 super charging stations and 40 destination charging stations have been built and opened up in Beijing, with a total of over 1000 charging stations open to the public, forming a charging network covering all of Beijing. While fully laying out the charging network, Tesla continuously updates the charging power of supercharging stations and reduces charging time. Improve heat dissipation efficiency and ensure charging safety with advanced liquid cooling technology. Use practical actions to dispel the range anxiety of car buyers.
As the end of the year approaches, consumers enter Tesla's golden window for car purchases. From now on until December 31 of this year (inclusive), car purchases during this period will not only receive a reduction in purchase tax, but also enjoy comprehensive benefits worth nearly 10000 yuan, such as recommended car purchase rewards and test drive benefits provided by Tesla. According to Tesla's latest recommendation reward policy, buyers who purchase Model Y/S/X series models through friend referrals can directly receive a recommendation reward of 1750 yuan, as well as a 90 day EAP (Enhanced Automatic Assisted Driving) free trial benefit. The referrer can also receive 7000 bonus points, which can be exchanged for multiple exquisite gifts.
Starting from next year, purchasing the Model Y high-performance version, Model S, and Model X will be subject to purchase tax ranging from 2000 to 44000 yuan, and the delivery cycle may also be extended again. The successive "price hikes" and "tight delivery" all imply that in the future, Tesla's multiple models will soon become the norm of oversupply. For consumers, ordering as early as possible is the best choice.
