According to media reports, former US President and Republican presidential candidate Trump stated in his new book that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg conspired against him in the 2020 election. Trump warns that if Zuckerberg does this again, he will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Trump's new book is titled 'Save America' and will be released next Tuesday (September 3rd) local time. According to publisher Winning Team Publishing, this is a coffee table book that focuses on photos. The regular version has a retail price of $99, and customers who want to get a Trump signed version will need to pay an additional $400.
According to media reports, Trump's new book includes a photo of him meeting with Zuckerberg at the White House during his presidency, but the specific date is not specified.
In the above photo, Trump wrote that Zuckerberg would bring his wife to dinner with him and appear very friendly, but "behind the scenes, he is plotting a real conspiracy to oppose the president by installing a voting 'lockbox'.
Trump refers to Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chen donating $420 million to election infrastructure during the 2020 election.
Although Zuckerberg claimed that these funds were not used to support specific candidates, Trump and Republicans believe that this move exploited a legal loophole and actually benefited Biden, Trump's opponent at the time.
Trump also wrote in his new book, "He (Zuckerberg) told me that there is no one on Facebook like Trump. But at the same time, for some reason, he is not good to me. We are closely monitoring him, and if he does anything illegal this time (referring to the 2024 US election), he will spend the rest of his life in prison, and so will anyone else who dares to cheat in the 2024 election
Trump has previously made similar remarks about Zuckerberg. In July of this year, Trump stated on his social media platform Truth Social that if he were to be re elected as president in November, "election fraudsters" would be imprisoned and named Zuckerberg.
It is worth mentioning that Zuckerberg expressed his dissatisfaction with the US government's censorship of online platform content in a letter to Jim Jordan, the chairman of the US House Judiciary Committee, on Monday, and stated that he will maintain political neutrality in the 2024 US election and stop donating to help local governments manage elections.
