Toyota Motor America announced on August 26th local time that it is recalling approximately 45300 2023/2024 Sequoia SUV models in North America, Central America, South America, and the Middle East, of which approximately 43400 are in the United States. The resin trailer hook cover may detach from the rear bumper of the vehicle while driving, which may increase the risk of collision. Toyota dealers will replace the resin trailer hitch covers of affected vehicles free of charge.
