On November 1st, Yihang Intelligent announced that its first urban air traffic (UAM) center in Europe was completed and put into operation at the airport of Lerida Alguaire in Spain. This is the first unmanned electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft UAM center in Europe, and will serve as a model for the effective integration of global eVTOL aircraft operations with airport infrastructure, air traffic management systems, operational processes, and other information technologies. It is reported that this strategic cooperation will help the European aviation and airport management industry stay at the forefront of international advanced air traffic.
Yihang Intelligence stated that it will deploy EH216-S at the European UAM center to accumulate operational experience and important knowledge. Combined with the extensive flight experience accumulated worldwide, it can be used to develop and develop technical solutions, improve regulations, processes, and procedures, in order to achieve safe and efficient integration management of eVTOL aircraft in European airspace in the future.
On October 13th, the EH216-S independently developed by Yihang Intelligent became the world's first unmanned eVTOL aircraft system to obtain a model certification and have commercial manned operation qualifications in China.
