Beijing Business Daily News (Reporter Guan Zichen and Niu Qingyan) On November 7th, according to Boeing, Boeing and Xiamen Airlines signed two cooperation agreements on the 787 landing gear exchange project and customized aviation material procurement plan at the CIIE on November 6th, aiming to support the efficient and reliable operation of Xiamen Airlines' fleet with Boeing's services.
In the 787 landing gear exchange project, in order to ensure the expiration of the landing gear overhaul needs of the airline's 787 fleet, based on the actual situation of the landing gear, Boeing provides a landing gear overhaul maintenance plan and a designated landing gear overhaul factory, and provides spare gear exchange requirements for the landing gear overhaul period to ensure the normal operation of the airline. As the initiating user of the 787 landing gear exchange project in China, Xiamen Airlines has obtained corresponding solutions. Boeing will also ensure that the Xiamen Airlines 787 fleet can successfully complete the first round of landing gear overhaul work.
At the same time, Boeing and Xiamen Airlines have also signed a three-year customized aviation material procurement agreement. Based on the actual needs of customers, through data analysis and collaborative cooperation between both parties, Boeing provides corresponding customized aviation material procurement plans to meet the guarantee needs of customers' aviation material procurement and reduce their aviation material procurement costs. It is understood that Xiamen Airlines is the first airline in China to sign a fixed price customized aviation material list procurement agreement with Boeing. After the agreement was signed in 2019, Xiamen Airlines significantly controlled procurement costs through this agreement.
