Baidu's senior vice president, Liang Zhixiang, has temporarily taken over the public relations business. Liang Zhixiang's original position also included public relations business. Qu Jing reported to Liang Zhixiang before leaving, and there is currently no one to replace Qu Jing's position. According to public information, Liang Zhixiang joined Baidu in 2005 and currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Baidu Group and Chairman of Baidu Data Management Committee. Liang Zhixiang directly participated in Baidu's IPO process on NASDAQ in the United States in 2005, completing policy and legal support for Baidu's past mergers and acquisitions and domestic and foreign business cooperation projects.
Previously, Qu Jing, former vice president of Baidu, made controversial comments on short video platforms as Baidu's vice president and public relations number one, saying, "Why should I consider an employee's family? I'm not her mother-in-law." Later, Qu Jing claimed that her actions had nothing to do with the company and was later exposed as resigning from Baidu. Meanwhile, Robin Lee, the founder, chairman and CEO of Baidu, delivered a speech at an internal award ceremony on May 11. Robin Lee congratulated the award-winning team and individuals at the ceremony and said, "You represent Baidu, you represent the most authentic Baidu, you are the most authentic representative of Baidu".
