On August 13th, according to the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), at around 1:10am local time on the 13th, a Boeing 747 cargo plane taking off from Narita Airport in Japan urgently returned shortly after takeoff due to aircraft malfunction.
According to Narita Airport Office of Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Communications, the cargo plane of American Atlas Airlines was originally scheduled to fly to Los Angeles, but its oil pressure system failed after takeoff, and then it returned to Narita Airport in an emergency and landed at Narita Airport.
According to reports, the plane's tire broke during landing, and as a result, runway A at Narita Airport was urgently closed until 8am before reopening.
It is reported that there were a total of 7 crew members on board at the time, none of whom were injured.
