Apple recently announced plans to launch a newly designed Mac mini, which will be equipped with the M4 chip and become the smallest desktop computer in Apple's history with its compact size. This new Mac mini is expected to be launched later this year, marking another major breakthrough in the design of the product line since Steve Jobs reformed the Mac mini in 2010.
According to insiders, the new Mac mini has significantly reduced in size compared to the previous generation, and is similar in size to the Apple TV box, marking another important step for Apple in pursuing product portability and performance balance. The M4 chip in the new Mac mini is equipped with an extremely high-speed neural network engine, which is a key IP module designed to accelerate artificial intelligence tasks. This engine is Apple's most powerful neural network engine to date, with a maximum processing speed of 38 trillion times per second. Compared to the first generation neural network engine in the A11 bionic chip, it can accelerate up to 60 times, providing users with more powerful computing support.
In addition to the Mac mini, Apple also plans to launch multiple new Mac products in the coming months. This includes the new generation iMac desktop and MacBook Pro equipped with M4 chips, as well as the new MacBook Air launched in the spring. In addition, Mac Pro and Mac Studio are also under development and are planned to be launched in the middle of next year, further enriching Apple's desktop computer product line.
