Toyota will raise the hourly wages of most American assembly plant workers from $31.86 to $34.80 starting from January 1 next year, a Toyota spokesperson said on November 1. Hourly workers at Toyota parts factories and logistics warehouses will also receive the same level of salary increase. The spokesperson confirmed that Toyota has also halved the time it takes American hourly workers to reach their highest wage, reducing it from 8 years to 4 years, and increased paid leave.
