They all come from Tesla's Shanghai Super Factory.
In 2019, Tesla's Shanghai Super Factory was completed and started construction. Nowadays, the Shanghai Super Factory is one of Tesla's largest electric vehicle production bases in the world and an important global export center. Data shows that for every two electric vehicles exported by China, one comes from Tesla's Shanghai super factory. In addition, the Shanghai Super Factory is also the most efficient factory in the world, achieving over 95% localization of components and automation rates of over 95%. It can take over 30 seconds to offline a car.

At the Tesla booth, the reporter saw that the updated version of the Model 3 produced by the Shanghai Super Factory has made improvements in multiple aspects such as exterior design, driving experience, cockpit interaction, and safety. The "interior" part that Chinese car owners are calling for the most has also been adopted by designers. The new version of the Model 3 not only adds customizable ambient lights, but also features an 8-inch rear LCD screen, which greatly enhances the sense of luxury. At the same time, the seat system has also been optimized for a more wrapped feel.
In order for the owners of the updated Model 3 to mention the car earlier, Tesla's Shanghai Super Factory has already reached full capacity and increased production capacity once again. According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, as of October, the cumulative delivery volume of Tesla's Super Shanghai factory in 2023 has reached approximately 771000 vehicles, surpassing the full year of 2022.
Tesla's financial report for the third quarter of 2023 shows that the actual annual production capacity of the Shanghai Super Factory has increased from 750000 vehicles/year in the second quarter to over 950000 vehicles/year in the third quarter.
The explosive parts exhibition area showcases the body covering parts of Model Y, front and rear trunk covers, front and rear doors, front and rear suspension assemblies (including motors), white body, battery pack, 19 inch twin star wheels of Model Y, and other structures at a glance. Visitors can have zero distance contact with the pre factory Model Y.
The Black Technology Exhibition Area showcases black technology accessories such as the "brain that commands Tesla electric vehicles" FSD fully autonomous driving ability computer, the "heat pump system commander" eight way valve, and the "Tesla's powerful heart" Tesla powertrain.
Some of these 'black technologies' come from Tesla's first overseas research and development center based on vehicle development - the Shanghai R&D Innovation Center. It is understood that the center has set up 28 laboratories, focusing on the development of Tesla's software, hardware, processes, and technology in China. At the same time, it undertakes application adaptation and standard testing in the Chinese market, and participates in global AI machine learning related research and development work.
In addition, the Shanghai Energy Storage Super Factory, dedicated to producing commercial energy storage batteries (Megapacks), announced its establishment in Lingang in April 2023, marking Tesla's first energy storage super factory project outside of the United States. This powerful "giant battery" can store over 3 megawatt hours of energy per unit, enough to meet the electricity demand of 3600 households for one hour. In the future, these commercial energy storage batteries will be sold to the global market, just like Tesla electric vehicles produced by Shanghai's super factories.
