On January 21st, Israeli solar power technology company SolarEdge Technologies announced that it will lay off approximately 16% of its workforce globally to reduce operating costs, affecting nearly 900 employees. Previously, SolarEdge had ceased production in Mexico and terminated its light commercial vehicle electric vehicle business. Due to weak demand for solar inverters, this renewable energy company lowered its fourth quarter revenue forecast in November last year.
