On the evening of December 23, 2023, at NIO Day 2023, NIO released the executive flagship sedan ET9 with a pre-sale price of 800000 yuan. Li Bin, founder, chairman, and CEO of NIO, stated that ET9 will begin delivery in the first quarter of 2025.
That evening, NIO's first self-developed intelligent driving chip, the Shenji NX9031, was officially released. NIO hopes to achieve the performance of four flagship intelligent driving chips in the industry with a self-developed chip, making efficiency and cost more optimal.
In terms of energy replenishment system construction, NIO has released 640kW fully liquid cooled ultra fast charging piles and the fourth generation exchange station, which will be fully deployed starting from April 2024. Li Bin stated that throughout 2024, NIO will add 1000 new battery swapping stations in the Chinese market, with a total of over 3310 stations built; 20000 new charging stations have been added, with a total of over 41000 stations built.
