General Motors Co said on Oct. 5 it had made a sixth contract offer on pay to the striking United Auto Workers (UAW) union, saying the new proposal made progress on key issues.

Saudi Arabia has extended oil production cuts until the end of the year as tight supplies continue to support energy prices.
