According to NIO, the NIO ET9 is designed for the new generation of high-end business users and positioned as the "most appropriate, comfortable, and safe" intelligent electric administrative flagship.
In terms of price, the NIO ET9 has a pre-sale price of 800000 yuan, significantly higher than the current flagship SUV model ES8. Looking at domestic independent brand new energy vehicle models, currently only BYD looks up to the U8 with a price higher than this standard.

The Shenji NX9031 adopts a 5nm automotive standard process and has over 50 billion transistors. NIO hopes to achieve the performance of four flagship intelligent driving chips in the industry with a self-developed chip, making efficiency and cost more optimal.
Global 900V high-voltage architecture and 46105 large cylindrical battery
It is understood that the entire 900V high-voltage architecture has the highest voltage of 925V for the entire vehicle, a peak charging power of 600kW, and a peak charging current of 765A. In addition, NIO has developed its own 46105 large cylindrical battery cells and battery packs for 900V, with an ultra fast charging rate of 5C.
SkyRide chassis system
At present, it is the only fully line controlled intelligent chassis in the world. Integrating the three core hardware systems of wire controlled steering, rear wheel steering, and fully active suspension, wire controlled steering uses electrical signal transmission, eliminating the constraints of traditional mechanical structures on shape and space, resulting in higher handling accuracy and response speed.

On December 17th, Li Bin tested the 150 degree ultra long endurance battery pack while driving the ET7. After more than 14 hours of driving, Li Bin, who departed from Shanghai, finally drove to the Longjue East Service Area in Xiamen, achieving a result of driving over 1000 kilometers with a power battery.
It is reported that the average energy consumption per 100 kilometers of 1044 kilometers in this test is 13.2 kWh (kilowatt hours), with a remaining power of 3%. It is expected that the vehicle can still travel more than 30 kilometers. Li Bin stated that the 150 degree ultra long endurance battery pack carried with the vehicle this time is the world's first thermal runaway free soft pack CTP battery, with a cell energy density of up to 360Wh/kg (watt hours/kg), which is currently the product with the highest power and energy density that can be mass-produced in China.
NIO introduced that the ultra long battery pack tested this time can adapt to all models on NIO's first and second generation platforms, which means it can support battery swapping. However, NIO President Qin Lihong has revealed that the cost of the battery pack is very high, equivalent to a NIO ET5 (starting at 298000 yuan). Therefore, the large-scale commercialization of this battery pack may still take some time. However, currently NIO provides battery rental services, and future users may experience this ultra long battery life through periodic "selection" methods.
