It is reported that since its launch in April 2024, the Zhongtong Intelligent Driving Autonomous Vehicle Operation and Management Platform has connected more than 100 outlets in 40 cities across the country, with a total of over 200 autonomous vehicles. At present, monitoring data from Zhongtong Express shows that the unmanned vehicle can serve residential areas within a 15 kilometer radius of the network, providing services such as express short haul transfer, and delivering 500-800 parcels per day per unit. Jin Renqun, Vice President of Zhongtong Express Group, revealed that in current practical applications, the main application scenario of unmanned express vehicles is short distance transportation from branches to community end stores.
