According to the investor relations activity table announced on September 2nd by Shanghai Securities Journal China Securities Network (Reporter Xia Zihang), the leading photovoltaic company Jinko Solar stated that the company is relatively optimistic about the demand for new energy installations in the United States. The domestic battery supply in the United States is limited, and overseas battery supply is needed in the short term. In the long run, combined with the implementation of trade policies, attention can be paid to strengthening local manufacturing opportunities through technological advantages, in order to gain market share and ensure sustainable operation.
In the announcement, JinkoSolar confirmed that the previous 400MW old production capacity in the United States has successfully obtained IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) subsidies, and the newly put into operation 2GW production capacity in the United States will actively strive for relevant subsidies.
According to the 2024 semi annual report, JinkoSolar actively promotes the globalization of production and sales, and has established overseas production bases in Malaysia, the United States, and Vietnam, as well as overseas sales subsidiaries in more than ten countries around the world, basically achieving global operations. According to the semi annual report, JinkoSolar's subsidiary JinkoSolar's US factory is mainly responsible for the production and sales of photovoltaic modules.
Previously, Trina Solar stated in the investor relations activity record on August 2nd that there were no obstacles regarding the possibility of the company's US base receiving IRA subsidies in the future based on the current situation. Referring to the precedent of overseas companies building production capacity in the United States and successfully obtaining IRA subsidies, the application process requires companies to first produce before submitting an IRA subsidy application.
