TSMC's first European 12 inch factory will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on August 20th. The European factory is located in Dresden, Germany, and is expected to introduce 28/22 nanometer planar complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology and 16/12 nanometer fin field-effect transistor (FinFET) process. The planned initial monthly production capacity is about 40000 pieces.
