Recently, the official public of the autonomous driving enterprise Wenyuan Zhixing claimed that on October 15, the new generation Robotaxi of Wenyuan Zhixing will be launched globally.
In July 2024, Wenyuan Zhixing submitted an IPO application to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, intending to list on NASDAQ. The prospectus shows that the company plans to commence commercial production of Robotaxi in 2024 and 2025, and is prepared for large-scale commercialization.
Founded in 2017, Wenyuan Zhixing is a technology company that holds autonomous driving licenses in China, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Singapore. It is committed to "changing human travel with autonomous driving" and has conducted autonomous driving research, testing, and operation in 30 cities in 7 countries around the world.
The prospectus shows that Wenyuan Zhixing's main sources of income include two parts. The first is to sell L4 level autonomous vehicle, including robot buses, robot taxis, robot cleaning vehicles and related sensor kits. The second is to provide L4 autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) services, covering autonomous driving operation, technical support services, and ADAS research and development services.
According to the prospectus, Wenyuan Zhixing has a layout in unmanned taxis, unmanned buses, unmanned delivery vehicles, unmanned sanitation vehicles, ADAS solutions, and more.
Among them, in terms of autonomous taxis, the WeRide Go application is a shared mobile network owned by Wenyuan Zhixing. Meanwhile, Wenyuan Zhixing also collaborates with other shared mobile platforms to provide autonomous taxi services. Since November 2019, Wenyuan Zhixing's self driving taxis have completed 1700 days of commercial operation on open roads.
