On July 19th, the State Administration for Market Regulation announced that Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Defective Automotive Product Recalls" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automotive Product Recalls". Starting from today, a total of 6 imported all-new Ford F-150 Raptor vehicles produced between March 30 and April 3, 2023 will be recalled.
Some vehicles within the scope of this recall have insufficient welding of the clock spring in the steering column control module, which may cause the driver's front airbag circuit to disconnect. In the event of a collision, the airbag cannot deploy properly, posing a safety hazard.
Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will provide authorized dealers with free inspection of the production date of clock springs for vehicles within the recall scope. If the batch is defective, the clock springs will be replaced to eliminate safety hazards.
