On April 28th, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the National Computer Network Emergency Technology Processing Coordination Center issued a notice on the detection of four security requirements for automobile data processing (first batch). In accordance with relevant regulations and standards such as the "Several Provisions on Automobile Data Security Management (Trial)" and GB/T 41871-2022 "Information Security Technology for Automobile Data Processing Security Requirements", and in accordance with the principle of voluntary inspection by enterprises, starting from November 2023, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the National Computer Network Emergency Technology Processing Coordination Center will organize the data security compliance of newly launched intelligent connected vehicles by automobile manufacturers for the years 2022-2023, including anonymous processing of facial information outside the vehicle, default non collection of cabin data, cabin data processing inside the vehicle, and processing of personal information. 4 compliance requirements, including significant notification, will be tested, including BYD The 76 models of six companies, including Ideal, Lotus, Hezhong New Energy, Tesla, and NIO, meet the four compliance requirements for automotive data security.
From a specific vehicle model perspective, Tesla's domestically produced Model 3 and Model Y both meet automotive data security compliance requirements, making it the only foreign-funded enterprise among them to meet compliance requirements.
In addition, BYD's Han and Tang's DM-i, DM-p, and EV versions are listed, while the Ideal L series is also on the compliance list, and NIO's entire range of models are also listed.
It is also understood that Tesla has completed the construction of its Tesla Shanghai data center in 2021, achieving localized data storage. And a third-party organization was introduced to review the company's information security management system, which passed the security management system certification (ISO27001).
As of the previous trading day, Tesla closed at $168.29 per share. Last Friday, the US automotive safety regulatory agency announced that it has begun a new investigation into Tesla. The main reason for Tesla's investigation is that multiple collision accidents occurred after the vehicle was recalled and software updates were carried out, and the preliminary test results from regulatory agencies have also raised concerns.
