On Tuesday local time, Intel released its latest artificial intelligence (AI) chip, the Gaudi 3, which is expected to be widely launched in the third quarter. At the Intel Vision 2024 conference held on the same day, Intel claimed that the new Gaudi 3 chip has an average improvement of 50% in inference ability and 40% in energy efficiency compared to the Nvidia H100 chip, and runs artificial intelligence models 1.5 times faster than the H100. Intel stated that this product will be roughly equivalent to Nvidia's latest H200 and may even perform better in certain areas.
