On the early morning of March 19th Beijing time, Nvidia released the GR00T universal basic model project for humanoid robots, aiming to further promote its breakthroughs in robotics and embodied intelligence.
Nvidia has also released a new humanoid robot computer, Jetson Thor, based on Thor system level chips, and has made significant upgrades to its Isaac robot platform, including generative artificial intelligence basic models and simulation tools, as well as artificial intelligence workflow infrastructure.
Nvidia hopes to use this measure to enable robots to have smarter brains, allowing them to observe human behavior and make natural imitative actions, greatly improving coordination and flexibility in their actions.
In the speech titled "Witnessing the Disruptive Moments of AI", NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun presented videos of multiple humanoid robots driven by GR00T completing tasks. A reporter from Shell Finance noticed that the robots used to showcase include agile robots, Fourier intelligent robots, and robot products from Yushu Technology.
It can be observed that in the current trend of increasing popularity of humanoid robots, Nvidia has implemented its own style of AI "water sellers" and is committed to providing "brains" for these different brands of robots.
