On March 8th local time, Boeing and its largest union, the International Association of Mechanical Engineers and Aerospace Workers, began their first comprehensive contract negotiations in 16 years. The union demands a 40% salary increase within three years. Boeing stated in a statement that it is confident in reaching an agreement that meets employee needs and maintains its competitiveness.
