On July 22nd, Starbucks China announced its first cross-border cooperation with a sports brand, partnering with renowned badminton brand YONEX to launch the world's first limited edition joint racket between Starbucks and YONEX, as well as a series of trendy activities. In addition, there are two coffee drinks specially designed for toasting and celebration - sparkling wine flavored cold brew and butter beer flavored Mianyun latte.
It is reported that starting from July 21st, sparkling wine flavored cold extract and butter beer flavored Mianyun latte will be launched in more than 7000 Starbucks stores across the country. At the same time, starting from July 21st, customers who purchase any large or larger cup type beverage at Starbucks stores nationwide will also have the opportunity to receive a limited edition "co branded" cup set from Starbucks and YONEX.
In addition, from July 20th to July 28th, Starbucks collaborated with YONEX to create a "Celebration Stadium" in Taikoo Li, Sanlitun, Beijing. On the first day of the event, badminton legend "Super Dan" Lin Dan also appeared on site and became the world's first tester of the aforementioned joint racket. It is reported that at the "Celebration Stadium", Starbucks will also set up a variety of interactive activities, inviting more fans and badminton enthusiasts to check-in and experience.
Starbucks China stated that relevant data shows that the badminton population in China is as high as 250 million, and badminton can be regarded as one of the preferred sports and fitness projects for Chinese people. Therefore, this season Starbucks China has chosen badminton as a new exploration of a healthy lifestyle.
