TSMC held its second quarter press conference on July 18th, during which Chairman and President Wei Zhe jia proposed "Wafer Manufacturing 2.0", which includes the IDM industry related to packaging, testing, mask fabrication, and memory manufacturing. It is expected that the wafer manufacturing industry will grow by 10% this year under this definition. Wei Zhejia pointed out that TSMC's demand for 3-nanometer and 5-nanometer technology is strong this year due to the high demand for advanced processes in AI and smartphones. He stated that TSMC has raised its revenue growth guidance for this year to the mid range of 20% (24% to 26%).
