On the morning of July 5th local time, game developer Epic Games posted accusing Apple of twice refusing notarized submissions for the Apple Epic Games Store game store. A few hours later, Epic announced that the content submitted by Epic Games Store had been accepted. The Epic Games Store virtual store is available for consumers to purchase various games, including Fortnite.
"Apple has twice rejected the notarization application submitted by our Epic Games Store, claiming that the design and location of Epic's' Install 'button are too similar to Apple's' Get' button, and our 'In App Purchase' label is too similar to the 'In App Purchase' label in the App Store." The initial tweet released by Epic Games stated. The game developer accused this move of violating EU regulations.
Apple has stated that the recent dispute involves Epic's Epic Sweden AB Marketplace application in the Swedish market, which has been approved.
