The European Commission requires Amazon to provide information on compliance with the Digital Markets Act. On July 5th, the Commission requested Amazon to provide information on the measures taken by the platform to comply with transparency obligations under the Digital Markets Act, as well as regulations related to maintaining advertising repositories and risk assessment reports. Amazon must provide the requested information before July 26, 2024. Based on the evaluation of the response, the European Commission will evaluate the next steps. This may include formally initiating litigation proceedings under antitrust laws.
