It is understood that the second generation Optimus made its debut on December 13 last year, and Tesla released a demonstration video of the Tesla humanoid robot "Optimus Gen2" on social media X.
Compared to the prototype shown earlier, the Optimus second-generation robot has made significant progress in weight, flexibility, and other aspects. Some analysts believe that with the current speed of iteration, Optimus robots may soon replace manual labor in many fields. Compared to the previous generation products, its improvements include the use of actuators and sensors that are all independently designed and manufactured by Tesla; The overall appearance design is more refined; The walking speed has increased by 30%; The weight has been reduced by 10 kilograms, while the sense of balance and body control have been improved; Equipped with brand new hands, it can grip heavier objects and perform more precise operations.
Tesla previously stated that the second-generation Optimus robot will be first applied to its manufacturing plant, and once its practicality is verified, the company will begin selling the robot.

According to the Daily Economic News, the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High Level Conference on Artificial Intelligence Global Governance (WAIC 2024) will be held in Shanghai from July 4th to 7th. The conference forum brought together 9 Turing, Fields, and Nobel laureates, as well as 88 domestic and foreign academicians, covering ten key topics including AI ethical governance, big models, data, computing power, and embodied intelligence (i.e. integrating artificial intelligence into physical entities such as robots, giving them the ability to perceive, learn, and dynamically interact with the environment).
At this conference, the exhibition covers an area of over 52000 square meters, with a focus on core technology, intelligent terminals, and application empowerment.
