On June 26th, Bilibili (hereinafter referred to as "Bilibili") celebrated its 15th anniversary with Li Ni, Vice Chairman and COO of Bilibili, giving a keynote speech on "Doing Public Welfare Together". In the speech, Li Ni announced the plan for the 7th Bilibili Primary School and announced the progress of Bilibili in public welfare platforms and other areas. As of that day, the Bilibili Public Welfare Platform has launched a total of 85 public welfare projects, with over 870000 donations.
Li Ni stated that Bilibili has supported the construction of the 7th public welfare primary school - Bilibili Mountain Song Primary School - in Mayou Village, Chuxiong, Yunnan. As of now, Bilibili has supported 7 public welfare primary schools in Yunnan and Guizhou, helping 7212 students and 361 in-service teachers.
Li Ni said that the reason why it is called Shange Elementary School is because Mayou Village in Chuxiong, Yunnan is the birthplace of the national intangible cultural heritage "Meige Shange". Moreover, for the local Yi people, mountain songs are not only a carrier of personal emotions and heroic legends, but also deeply integrated into daily life.
Li Ni hopes that local children can continue the optimistic spirit of mountain songs throughout their growth process. So, in the future, Bilibili will also provide music teachers, establish a mountain song choir, provide music scholarships, and hold mountain song competitions and other activities for Bilibili Mountain Song Primary School.
