According to Boeing News, on June 20th, Shanghai Boeing Aviation Modification and Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. announced the groundbreaking of the new hangar, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The new hangar is located in the Lingang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, covering an area of 125 acres with a total investment of 850 million yuan. It can accommodate four wide body aircraft and two narrow body aircraft simultaneously, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. After completion, the new Boeing hangar in Shanghai will become the largest single span hangar in China.
