On May 21st, Emanuele Cappellano, Chief Operating Officer of Stellantis South America, announced in an interview that the company will expand its engine factory in Betting, Brazil, with an annual production capacity of around 1.1 million units, up from the current 750000 units, to coincide with increasing production of cars in the region.
Cappellano said, "South America is interested in the Zero Run car brand and expanding the range of available technologies by leveraging Zero Run's experience in China and other parts of the world."
Stellantis and Leapmotor announced on May 14th the official establishment of Leapmotor International Joint Venture, with both parties holding 51% and 49% respectively. The company's management team is currently preparing for the launch of two electric vehicle models, T03 and C10, in Europe. At the same time, Zero Run International also plans to launch the above-mentioned models in the Indian and Asia Pacific (excluding Greater China), Middle East and Africa, and South American markets starting from the fourth quarter of 2024.
