According to JCC, data released by the Ministry of General Affairs of Japan on 27 October 2023 showed a core consumer price index (CPI) of 106.0, an increase of 2.7 per cent over the same period and an increase of 3 months, in Tokyo 23 districts, in addition to fresh and fresh food.
In terms of projects, food prices, other than fresh food, rose by 7.3 per cent; the cost of accommodation rose by 42.8 per cent; and energy prices, including electricity and gas, fell by 14.1 per cent compared with the previous month (18.7 per cent).
In addition to the increase in the cost of food and accommodation, the Government ' s reduction in its response aimed at reducing electricity and urban gas costs has also had an impact.
