The "Securities Daily" reporter learned that the new Model Y has been upgraded in terms of interior details and power performance. The older model adds multicolor ambiance lights and a new dashboard trim with high-tech textile materials. In addition, it is also equipped with 19-inch Gemini wheels, and the zero 100 km acceleration of the rear-wheel drive version is improved from 6.9 seconds to 5.9 seconds, which is 1 second shorter than the old model.
In terms of appearance, consistent with the old model, the front face of the new car adopts a closed grille design, and the large light groups on both sides are blackened. The three-stage design is adopted in the lower enveloping position, the two sides are equipped with small size flow channel, and the trapezoidal air intake design is adopted at the bottom position, making the overall sense of movement of the vehicle improved. The rear position is also a simple style, using the "duckling tail" design, highlighting the movement of the vehicle. In terms of size, the body length, width and height are 4750/1921-1624mm, and the wheelbase is 2890mm.
In terms of power, it is revealed from the publicity pictures that the 100km acceleration time of the Model Y rear-drive version has been increased from 6.9 seconds to 5.9 seconds. Referring to the power information of the 2022 ModelY, the 2022 Tesla ModelY wheel-drive version is equipped with a single motor and lithium iron phosphate battery, with a pure electric range of 545km. ModelY long-life all-wheel-drive version is equipped with front and rear dual motor + four-wheel drive system, matching ternary lithium battery, pure battery range of up to 660km.
According to the data, Model Y, as Tesla's first domestic SUV model, will be launched in 2021, with a total of two models of long-life and high-performance versions. In August this year, Tesla announced that the starting price of the ModelY long-life version was reduced from 313,900 yuan to 299,900 yuan, and the price of the ModelY high-performance version was reduced from 363,900 yuan to 349,900 yuan, a discount of 14,000 yuan before the price cut.

Thanks to the double help of product strength and price advantage, Model Y's sales have been rising recently. The latest data show that Tesla ModelY sold 51,117 units in August, an increase of 64.3% year-on-year, accounting for 79.01% of Tesla China's total sales in August.
